If I'm downloading from internet or using programs on my pc such as dvd burning software, will that interfere with the quality
of the call when using magicjack? Thank you |

On my Dell 2.8Ghz 1G RAM, MJ uses about 5-15% CPU time during a call. With MJ active on a call, I am able to use DVDshrink, Firefox, email program at the same time for overall 50% CPU usage with no degradation in MJ voice quality. I haved used Nero to burn a DVD while talking on MJ without any issue. Of course, YMMV

| Yes downloading and\or uploading in particular will hurt call quality.....While running utorrent when a call comes in it's best to pause the torrents otherwise people have a hard time hearing me due to the sound breaking up. I have a comcast cable modem and if I limit utorrent bandwidth to 40KB/s it seems to work fine. |

| I have played streaming video and the calls with magicJack still have been crystal clear. Obviously the speed of the broadband you are using is a very important factor. |

Its all about bandwidth........if you have a halfway decent computer and a high speed INTERNET connection it is not a problem to multi-task. The fact is if you have too many Apps open and are using to much of your CPU processing power you will have a problem, doesn't matter if your using MagicJack or looking at porn. To much is to much,if it hurts when you do that don't do that ......LOL
