I've been listening to my girlfriend's room mate giving me crap about the MJ since I got it. That was until she lost her cell phone and has been using a pre-paid Trac phone until her's is replaced. Now she can't say enough good things about the MJ since I let her hook it up to her cordless phone and spoofed her number till she gets the replacement phone.
It's kinda worked out for me too, 'cause it's let me test it to a greater degree than I've been able to so far.
BTW, I was going to title this thread, "I had my girlfriend's room mate begging for it!" but I thought it was too suggestive... |

Your title would have definitely caught my interest, especially if it said it included pictures _________________ Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working. |

Basically, I put in her cell phone number in the CallerID Spoofer so when she called out, her friends wouldn't get the actual MJ number. I didn't want them calling the MJ looking for her, so I figured it was better on several levels to let them see her cell phone number instead.
NOTE: I'm guessing you've been to the magicJack Tips, Tricks, and Hacks forum and saw the Sticky re: CallerID Spoofing, right? |

| Thanks for the info, I did check it out in tips and tricks, but it seems too difficult, but it does sound cool. Thanks again. |

It's really not difficult; believe me, if I can figure it out, anyone can. Check out the new thread re: the new and improved spoofer. The only thing I had to fool around with is the "host" file located c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
Read through some of the information... you'll be glad you did. |
