If you find that you answer a call and the person who called can hear you, but you cant hear them. The problem is probably due to a timing incompatability between the MJ hardware, and your analog phone. This is probably due to an impedance mismatch. I found that the following is an acceptable way to get good connections when this maddening problem occurs.

1) When the call comes in, let it ring twice, then immediately after the second ring hit the "accept" button on your screen
2) Wait for 1.5 - 2 [sec] after you hit the accept button, and answer the call by picking up your phone.

I have found that you must wait for at least 1.5 [sec] before picking up. If you do this you should always get a good connection.

yeah, I know .... dumb Rolling Eyes

Bonzo100,

It is only dumb if it doesn't work. Very Happy

But it is not very practical in my situation because I run MJ on a Thin Client that is around the computer room someplace, I actually haven't seen it in a couple of days. Laughing

Bonzo100,

Tin-Foil, it is a little irritating to the crotch but at least my offspring won't have an extra eye in the middle of their forehead. Laughing

Thanks for the tip, Bonzo. I tried it a couple of times, but I'm still having the same problem. I can make calls just fine. The phone rings when someone calls me just fine. The only problem I seem to have is that I can't hear on my end. I'm using an old phone that isn't plugged into an electrical outlet. Could that be the problem? Am I putting too much of a power draw on the USB Port by not having a phone that plugs into the wall for power?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Tracey
