|
|
| my mj was workin fine for bout 3 months then other day it did an update, soon as it did the update window popped up sayin "warning you must plug magicjack into usb" so i unplugged it and plugged back in then it said to restart computer did that too. when computer restarted the blue light on mj flashed once and went off. now computer wont even see it. tried it on 4 other computers and a lappy with no luck. so after 3 days talkin in tech chat with mj reps who knew next to nuttin bout their product they gave me a discount code to use to order another mj. well low and behold i go to order another one and the dang discount code is invalid. i mean like what the heck. so i went back into tech help and asked them why the discount code is invalid and all they said was we have already given you the weeks code cant /wont give you another. none of the magicfix or magicrecover progs will work cause the computer dont even see the mj. goin to take my mj out back and shoot it with my 45 that will give me a lil satisfaction. decent product + idiot tech support+no replacement after 30 days +discount codes that dont work = 1 less customer |

Redneck,
Have you tried this: mjrecover_setup.exe
I have posted a personal link to it on my 4shared account. Let me know if you have any problems downloading it also please let me know if you helps. The file is clean but don't trust me, scan it for viruses before you use it.

PS - what was the discount code - $2 bucks. I think that is what they consider a discount. :roll
PS2 - I have an image file of the contents of the MJ unit so if the above does not work we could rebuild the whole contents of the not so MagicJack from scratch. _________________ HolmanGT - St. George, UT Area/Prefix 435-705

|

Just got my MJ yesterday and I haven't been able to use the phone. There is a "clicking" noise, like someone is pusing the mute button off and on. I've reinstalled, fixed it, tried the one time I could connect to a tech support - no help. Can you use the Microphone on your computer for this or do you have to have a phone. I would prefer a phone but if that can't work..... |

You can use either a mike/headset or a regular landline phone. On the softphone on your screen you can swithch back and forth between the two. _________________ Gerry
